A young man posted this somewhere and I read it and thought it was really interesting.
I wonder what would happen if we treated our Bible like we treat our cell phone.
What if we carried it around in our purses or pockets?
What if we flipped through it several times a day?
What if we turned back to go get it if we forgot it?
What if we used it to receive messages from the text?
What if we treated it like we couldn't live without it?
What if we gave it to children as a gift?
What if we used it when we traveled?
What if we used it in case of emergency?
This is something to make you go....hmm... where is my Bible? Oh, and one more thing. Unlike our cell phone, we don't have to worry about our Bible being disconnected because Jesus already paid the bill. Makes you stop and think, "Where are my priorities?"And no dropped calls! Thank God for His Word!

I think that this is a wonderful example that should lead people to a higher level of respect for the Bible. Here in America most homes have a Bible, yet most people who 'claim Christ' don't read their Bible's regularly. There are places in the world where a Bible is not present and therefore to those that recieve one it is very cherished. There are other places in the world where a Bible could possibly get you killed. Others can usually understand and respect the Bible more, but here in our comfortable American society we think less and less of God each day. It is sadness. But, perhaps a revolution is at hand. Let's run the race for Christ, make war on SIN!
I heard something to this affect, and it did make me go "Hmm". This should make people think, because we do often treat our cell phones like we can't live without them, when it is God that has that position. The Word is forever, cell phones can be replaced. Thanks, I will definitely take heed to this!!
